JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Missouri Farm Bureau’s Southeast Regional Endorsement Committee has endorsed Jason Bean in Missouri’s 25th State Senate District. Four candidates for the Senate seat took part in a virtual interview process with the Committee yesterday. Shortly afterward, Endorsement Committee trustees from the district unanimously voted to endorse Bean.

Rance Daniels, Regional Endorsement Committee Member from Dunklin County, said, “The 25th Senate District is the number-one agriculture district in the state of Missouri. We need a farmer who understands the industry inside and out to represent us in Jefferson City. Jason has been deeply involved in agriculture his entire life and knows what rural life is all about. We look forward to working with him as our next state Senator.”

Bean currently farms and runs an agribusiness in the Bootheel and has been active in agricultural organizations for many years. He has served as Interim Superintendent of the Fisher Delta Research Center and currently serves as Chairman of its Advisory Board. He has also served on the United Soybean Board, among other positions.

The 25th Senate District is comprised of Shannon, Carter, Butler, Stoddard, Mississippi, New Madrid, Dunklin and Pemiscot Counties. Trustees interview candidates, review voting records and seek their positions on issues prior to voting on endorsements.
