JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – – Missouri Farm Bureau’s (MOFB) Political Action Committee (PAC) endorsed Congressman Sam Graves for re-election in Missouri’s sixth Congressional District. Trustees of the MOFB Northern Regional Endorsement Committee voted to endorse his re-election bid.
Prior to his election to the U.S. House in 2000, Graves served as Chairman of MOFB’s Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee and a member of the Missouri General Assembly. He is Chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and is also a member of the House Armed Services Committee. He has received the prestigious Friend of Farm Bureau Award from the American Farm Bureau Federation for each of his completed terms and is also a past recipient of MOFB’s Outstanding Service to Agriculture Award.
“We are proud to support Congressman Graves in his re-election for the U.S. House of Representatives,” said Darrell Aldrich, chairman of the Northern Regional Endorsement Committee. “As a farmer himself, Congressman Graves understands the needs of farmers, ranchers and rural communities and works hard to serve residents across Missouri’s sixth Congressional District.”
Trustees are selected by their county Farm Bureau organizations, and they review the candidate’s voting record and positions on relevant issues prior to voting on endorsements. This is the 12th consecutive election in which the MOFB PAC has endorsed Graves.
