Drew Lock, of La Plata, was re-elected to a two-year term on the Missouri Farm Bureau board of directors during the organization’s 104th annual meeting December 4 at the Lake of the Ozarks. Lock was first elected to the board during a special election in 2017, to fill a vacancy caused by board member Chris Chinn’s appointment as Missouri Director of Agriculture. Lock represents District 2 in the northeast area of the state.
Lock was chairman of the Missouri Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers (YF&R) Committee in 2014 and prior to that, he and his wife, Mariah, served on the committee representing young farmers and ranchers in northeast Missouri. Lock is a member of the Adair-Schuyler County Farm Bureau and previously served on the county board of directors. The couple has two sons, Tate and Trace, and a daughter, Taelynn. Lock is the fifth generation to work on the original family farm, purchased in 1905, and now farms the land with his father, raising corn, soybeans and cattle.
