JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Missouri Farm Bureau’s Political Action Committee has endorsed Congressman Billy Long for re-election in Missouri’s 7th Congressional District. Trustees of the Missouri Farm Bureau Southwest Regional Endorsement Committee met virtually and voted to endorse his re-election bid.

Long is serving his fifth term in Congress and is a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. He has received the prestigious Friend of Farm Bureau Award from the American Farm Bureau Federation for each of his four completed terms.

“Congressman Long has been a long-time advocate for farmers, ranchers and rural communities,” said Trent Drake, chairman of the Southwest Regional Endorsement Committee. “His continued efforts to help rural Missouri and commitment to issues important to Farm Bureau members is just what we need in Washington.”

Trustees are selected by their county Farm Bureau organizations. They interview candidates, review voting records, and seek their positions on issues prior to voting on endorsements. This is the sixth consecutive election in which Missouri Farm Bureau has endorsed Long.
