Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) is pleased to announce that its new health plans website – MOFBHealthPlans.com – went live December 1, 2025, giving members a centralized hub for information on high-quality, affordable coverage options. As MOFB rolls out this major health initiative, it’s offering an alternative for individuals, families and entrepreneurs who seek health coverage at competitive rates.

MOFB Health Plans aim to make health care more accessible and cost-effective, particularly for self-employed individuals and rural families who often pay more under the traditional insurance marketplace.

“We’re excited to see our new health plans website go live, making it easier than ever for MOFB members to explore coverage options designed with them in mind,” said MOFB President Garrett Hawkins. “The strong interest we’re already seeing shows just how valuable these plans are to our members. We’re proud to offer solutions that provide real peace of mind and help strengthen rural communities across our state.”

Comprehensive, High-Value Coverage

MOFB Health Plans will offer a range of services, including office visits, hospitalization, preventative care, emergency room services, maternity coverage, and behavioral health, including mental health and substance abuse care. Plans will be built around a nationwide PPO network, UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus, to provide members access to many doctors and hospitals across Missouri. Plans will feature several options with different deductible, copay, and out-of-pocket maximum levels to suit members’ needs.

Significant Potential Savings

MOFB expects to deliver substantial cost savings to members. These plans are medically underwritten and individually rated, offering significant savings to members, sometimes 30% to 50% less than unsubsidized marketplace plans. This kind of affordability could be a game-changer for members who are struggling with health coverage costs and will allow members to seek high quality care from medical providers.

Membership Requirement

To enroll in MOFB Health Plans, individuals must maintain an active MOFB membership. Founded in 1915, MOFB is the state’s largest agriculture organization with more than 157,000 members. Joining MOFB costs $30, making membership, and health coverage, accessible to a wide audience, along with a variety of other benefits. New Website as Central Resource

The new website, MOFBHealthPlans.com, launched December 1 and is the go-to destination for:

  • Exploring plan options and benefits
  • Reviewing eligibility criteria
  • Accessing tools to quote and apply
  • Learning via frequently asked questions
  • Receiving regular updates and news

As MOFB Health Plans prepares for its inaugural enrollment period, beginning January 1, 2026, the website will serve as the primary source of information. While quoting also opens January 1, interested members are encouraged to reach out to their local MOFB Insurance agent now to prepare for the enrollment process.

Strong Early Interest

Response to the launch has already been promising: many members have signed up to receive updates, signaling robust demand for a more affordable health coverage alternative. This enthusiasm speaks to a critical need in Missouri communities.

“We are thrilled to take this important step forward,” said Beth Bowles, director of MOFB Health Plans. “The website along with their local MOFB agents, gives members the tools they need to make informed decisions about their health care, and early interest confirms just how valuable these plans can be for families across our state. Best of all, access is broad, anyone can become a member for just $30.”

Coverage applications open January 1, 2026. The first effective date of coverage is February 1, 2026. MOFB Health Plans will offer a variety of products available for enrollment year-round and individuals can request a quote at any time.
