JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Missouri Farm Bureau’s Northern Regional Endorsement Committee has endorsed Tony Luetkemeyer in Missouri’s 34th State Senate District. Trustees interviewed Luetkemeyer and his general election opponent Martin Rucker in St. Joseph on August 29 and voted to endorse Luetkemeyer’s candidacy.
“Tony Luetkemeyer has a genuine interest in agriculture and will work to strengthen our rural communities,” said Darrell Aldrich, chairman of the Northern Regional Endorsement Committee. “He understands the consequences of unnecessary regulation and the threats posed by extremist groups like the Humane Society of the United States. Tony will be an advocate for improving infrastructure, including roads, bridges and broadband. As family farmers, we believe he will represent us well in Jefferson City.”
Trustees are selected by their county Farm Bureau organizations. They interview the candidates running in the general election, review voting records and seek their positions on issues prior to voting on endorsements. The 34th Senate District is comprised of Buchanan and Platte Counties.
