Missouri Farm Bureau President Garrett Hawkins issued the following statement today following the conclusion of the 2022 Special Session:

The legislation Governor Parson signed into law today includes multiple subjects important to Missouri’s agriculture industry. House Bill 3 extends agriculture tax credit programs that have been tested and proven to bring jobs and investment to rural Missouri. Businesses need the certainty of a long-term program when state incentives influence decisions about starting new construction or expanding their operations. This bill’s six-year authorization means farmers and rural Missourians will be treated the same as their urban and suburban neighbors. We appreciate Governor Parson and leaders in the House and Senate for making rural Missouri and agriculture a priority by providing these tools to grow our economy.
