Missouri Farm Bureau President Garrett Hawkins made the following statement regarding the Partial Summary Judgment issued today by the Cooper County Circuit Court upholding the constitutionality of SB 391:

“We are pleased with the court’s ruling affirming the constitutionality of SB 391. This law makes it clear existing as well as future local health ordinances pertaining to livestock production cannot go beyond state laws and regulations. While the court did leave some issues unresolved, we will continue to fight to ensure Missouri farmers and ranchers are not subjected to costly and unnecessary regulations.”
