Heather & Addi Counts are taking over our Instagram account this week for #MOFBinDC! Follow along to see what it's like to go on a Missouri Farm Bureau legislative trip to Washington D.C. ⁣ ⁣ Heather Counts and her husband Buck own and operate Buckeye Acres Produce, a small fruit and vegetable operation just north of Warrensburg Missouri. They raise a variety of items including u pick strawberries and blackberries as well as a nice selection of vegetables. They also operate a pumpkin patch in the fall. They have a 50 family member CSA operation that runs through the summer season and market their produce through the Warrensburg farmers market as well as an on farm store. A small gourmet restaurant in Warrensburg, Cafe Blackadder, utilizes much of their produce in their fresh menu selection. ⁣ ⁣ Heather and Buck strive to provide the local community with high-quality, fresh, delicious fruits and vegetables throughout a majority of the year by utilizing high tunnel structures to extend the growing season⁣. ⁣ Addi is in 4th grade at Crest Ridge Elementary. She is active in 4-H showing pigs and cattle, and also participates in livestock judging and sewing.
