JEFFERSON CITY – – Wyatt Hendley, of Bloomfield, and Reagan O’Farrell, of Appleton City, were selected by a panel of judges to serve as 2026 Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) Ambassadors during the organization’s 111th annual meeting on Sunday, December 7.
The MOFB Ambassador program selects one male and one female student 17-to-21 years of age to represent agriculture and Farm Bureau for one year. Each Ambassador receives a $2,500
educational scholarship, and throughout 2026, each will represent MOFB during a legislative trip to Washington, D.C., the Missouri State Fair and other events.
Hendley, a senior at Southeast Missouri (SEMO) State University, represents his home county of Stoddard and is the son of Joe and Kathy Hendley. Majoring in agribusiness industry, Hendley is a member of the SEMO collegiate Farm Bureau chapter, the collegiate Knights of Columbus, the Law, Politics & Society club, and the Delta Tau Alpha honors society. Upon graduation, he plans to pursue a law degree, with plans to return to Stoddard County and establish his own agricultural law practice.
O’Farrell, a freshman at Kansas State University (KSU), represents her home county of St. Clair and is the daughter of Adam and Jamie O’Farrell. Majoring in agriculture economics, O’Farrell is involved with the KSU collegiate Farm Bureau chapter, Collegiate Cattlewomen, Block and Bridle, and the Lutheran campus ministry. Her future plans include a pre-law track through her undergraduate career, with the hopes of eventually working as an agricultural attorney.
A total of 18 students competed in this year’s contest, which began with judges interviewing each contestant. During the evening session, six finalists split into two panel discussion groups, taking questions from 2025 Ambassadors Karson Calvin and Claire Walker. The Ambassador program is sponsored by the MOFB Promotion & Education committee, and scholarship funds come from the MOFB Foundation for Agriculture.
