Valerie Gladbach, of Mendon, was recognized for two years of service on Farm Bureau’s Promotion and Education (P&E) Committee during the 104th Missouri Farm Bureau annual meeting December 3 at Lake of the Ozarks.

Blake Hurst, Missouri Farm Bureau president, presented Gladbach with a plaque during a Monday morning breakfast sponsored by the P&E Program.  While on the committee, Gladbach represented District 2 in the northeast area of the state.  As a member of the 10-person state committee, she helped develop, implement and evaluate programs promoting agriculture and strengthening Farm Bureau.

Gladbach is employed with AGRIServices of Brunswick as corporate controller. Together with her husband, Jess, they operate their own construction company, J&K Carpentry and Concrete. They also manage Jess’ family farm, a Century Farm, where they grow corn and soybeans.

They are Chariton County Farm Bureau and Mo-Ag members, and she is on the county’s legislative committee. Gladbach participated in Agricultural Leaders of Tomorrow class XV and Purdue Management Academy.

The couple has two daughters, ages 19 and 16.
