Andy Clay was elected as the newest vice president of Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB), while Dustin Stanton, Dawn Boerding and Spencer Bachmann were each appointed to the board of directors for the first time during the organization’s 111th annual meeting on December 9.

In addition, board members Brian Koenig, Duane Kaiser, Stan Coday and Dana Lane were each reelected to new two-year terms.

Clay elected as Vice President

Andy Clay is a seventh-generation farmer who, alongside his father, owns and operates Clay Farms, which is a diversified agricultural operation featuring row crops, cover crops, and a mixed cow/calf herd. Andy manages all day-to-day farm operations, while his father oversees the family feed mill and chemical sales business. The Clay family continues to farm ground that was originally settled in 1816 along the Missouri River.

Along with his wife, Kacey, he previously served on the MOFB Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) Committee, where he was appointed chairman in 2013. After completing their two-year term, the Clays represented Missouri for two additional years on the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) YF&R Committee.

Clay has been an active member of the Moniteau County Farm Bureau Board for nearly two decades, serving as both president and YF&R chair. In 2018, he was elected to the MOFB state board of directors to represent District 3. He served multiple terms on the resolutions committee, helping guide the grassroots policy process that defines the organization.

In addition to his involvement in Missouri Corn, Missouri Soybean and Missouri Cattlemen’s Association, Clay remains committed to supporting the next generation of agricultural leaders. He frequently hosts events for youth and community groups, sharing his personal experience and passion for agriculture.

He and Kacey have three children and reside in Jamestown.

Stanton, Boerding voted to MOFB board of directors

Dustin Stanton and Dawn Boerding were each chosen by local voting delegates to serve on the MOFB state board of directors. Boerding will start a new two-year term as the District 5 representative, replacing outgoing board member Chris Brundick, while Stanton will begin his service as the District 3 representative with one-year remaining as he completes Clay’s unfinished term.

Stanton, who resides in Boone County, operates an independent cage free egg operation along with his brother, Austin. Stanton Brothers Eggs produces, processes and sells approximately 500 dozen eggs per day to more than 60 outlets in the mid-Missouri area. He also works on his family’s traditional diversified farm that consists of beef cattle, row crops and hay. The family has operated the farm since 1845.

He served as an MOFB ambassador in 2015, and since has taken on stints as the Boone County Farm Bureau president and treasurer. He received the 2014 National FFA American Star in Agribusiness award, and his family was recognized at MOFB’s 2024 annual meeting with the Missouri Stewardship award.

Dustin was married to his wife, Brittney, in November 2025.

Boerding, who resides in St. Charles County, is an account specialist for Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) at the St. Louis River terminal and serves as the CFO for Boerding Farm, LLC. Her family farms between the Missouri and Mississippi rivers with a corn/soybean rotation and a beef cattle operation.

Dawn becomes the third member of her family to serve in a leadership capacity with MOFB, as her husband, Jim, was the organization’s YF&R chair in 2001, and her son, Andrew, also served as YF&R chair in 2023.

Bachmann named Young Farmers & Ranchers chairman

Spencer Bachmann, of Perry County, was chosen to serve as the new chair of the MOFB YF&R Committee. He and his wife, Rachel, are the fifth generation to work on their family farm, where they operate a cow-calf operation and raise sheep, goats and chickens on nearly 400 acres. Off the farm, Bachmann is a machinist. He and Rachel have two children: Mila and Rowan.

Bachmann begins a one-year term as an advisory member of the MOFB board of directors immediately.

Koenig, Kaiser, Cody and Lane reelected to MOFB board of directors

Incumbent board members Brian Koenig of Perry County (District 6), Duane Kaiser of Barry County (District 7), Stan Coday of Wright County (District 8) and Dana Lane of Linn County (North Director at-Large) were each awarded new two-year terms to continue their service on the MOFB board of directors.
