JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Missourians have the opportunity to learn more about agritourism at the fifth annual Missouri Agritourism Conference. The conference will be held July 23-25, 2017, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Columbia. Sponsors of the conference are Missouri Farm Bureau and the Missouri Department of Agriculture’s AgriMissouri/Missouri Grown program.

Attendees will participate in roundtable discussions on Sunday evening, July 23, guided bus tours on Monday, July 24 and workshop sessions on Tuesday, July 25.

The bus tour will visit agritourism venues such as Star Pines Christmas Tree Farm, Peach Tree Farm, Serenity Valley Winery, Giofre Apiaries, Terrapin Creek Ranch Bed and Breakfast, Shyrocks Callaway Farms Corn Maze, and Blue Bell Farm. The group will also enjoy a Farm to Table Dinner at the Blue Bell Farm.

Workshops will be given by Maize Quest, True Media, Dry Creek Cabin, Epple Haus B & B, and Missouri Hwy 36 Heritage Alliance. Topics include marketing, advertising, and on farm lodging.

Conference registration is available at mofb.org. Early bird registration is $125 and is available until July 10.  After July 10 registration will be $150.
