As a members of the 10-person committee, these volunteers will help develop, implement
and evaluate projects and programs that promote agriculture. The committee works
to strengthen Missouri Farm Bureau and provides leadership development for all

2006 Ambassadors Selected
Tyne Morgan, Lafayette County, and Sky Vanderburg, Randolf County, were chosen
from a field of 25 contestants to serve as the 2006 Missouri Farm Bureau Ambassadors.
Each will receive a $1250 educational scholarship. MORE |

Youth Leader Day
The 2006 Missouri Farm Bureau Youth Leadership Day marked the 11th year for the
program with record participation of 406 students and chaperons representing 73
counties. This unique leadership opportunity allows students to experience first-hand
the events in the Missouri Capitol while learning about the Legislative process.

Food Check-Out Day
February 4, 2006, marked the day upon which the average American will have earned
enough income to pay for their family's annual food supply. This fell only 29
days into the New Year. When compared to Tax Freedom Day, which last year fell
on April 11, 2004, food is affordable. MORE |

Awareness
Program (ASAP) March 6-12
With the approach of spring, farmers are making plans to being the planting season.
March 6-12 has been designated as ASAP WEEK in an effort to remind farmers the
