Golf Tournaments
During 2004, Foundation golf tournaments were held in Fulton, Jackson and Springfield. A total of 283 golfers raised over $21,800 for the Foundation.
Other fundraising activities
Other fundraising activities include a silent auction and pancake breakfast held at the Missouri Farm Bureau Annual Meeting each December.
Memorial cards are now available through the Missouri Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture. These memorial cards can be placed in funeral homes when a loved one passes away and the family would like the Missouri Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture to be considered as a memorial fund recipient.
If a member requests that these cards be placed at a funeral home, the cards can be obtained either by contacting your local county Farm Bureau office or by calling directly to the Farm Bureau Home Office, Doris Moore (573-893-1405) or Dorothy Dudenhoeffer (573-893-1459). We will send a supply of the cards to you as quickly as possible via overnight Federal Express mail service. The Regional Coordinators have also been given a small supply, so you may contact your coordinator for a limited number. There will be no charge for the cards or for shipping.
Memorial gifts totaling at least $50 will ensure that the deceased person's name is inscribed on a plaque that is permanently displayed in the lobby of the Farm Bureau Center in Jefferson City. This plaque is commemorative of those who have been friends of agriculture and Farm Bureau.
Memorial contributions may be tax deductible. The Missouri Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture is a non-profit, charitable organization and has been determined as exempt from Federal Income Tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
All memorial gifts to the Foundation will support programs that tell the important story of agriculture and provide training and scholarships to help prepare the future leaders of agriculture.
Farm and rural families are committed to passing on a great agricultural heritage to their children and grandchildren. Your gift to the Foundation for Agriculture will help assure a stronger future for Missouri agriculture.
For a donation of $50 or more, the name of your honoree will be inscribed on the Tribute Plaque that is permanently displayed in the lobby of the Farm Bureau Center in Jefferson City. The purpose of this plaque is to recognize those individuals who have demonstrated a strong dedication to agriculture and are friends of Farm Bureau.
To include the Foundation in your estate planning, Farm Bureau will provide assistance to anyone interested in including a contribution to the Foundation as a component of an overall tax plan.
