Funding
Allocation
The goal of the Foundation is to assure a brighter
future for Missouri agriculture.
A brief summary of programs supported by the Foundation is provided below.
Agriculture in the Classroom and Mini-Grants
The Foundation supports "Agriculture in the
Classroom" by providing
funding for mini-grants to teachers throughout the state. Since the start of
the Foundation, 285 mini-grants have been awarded totaling $47,574. For the
2004-2005 school year, 34 grants were awarded. Grants carry a maximum stipend
of $200 to assist educators in taking the message of agriculture into the classroom.
Leadership Training
The Foundation for Agriculture has been instrumental
in the development of
agriculture's future leaders. Each year, the Foundation provides an outstanding
speaker for the Missouri Farm Bureau Young Farmers' and Ranchers' Conference.
Over 500 young farmers' and ranchers' attend the conference each year. The Foundation
also provides cash prizes for the winners of the State Young Farmers' & Ranchers'
Achievement Award and Discussion Meet.
The Foundation contributes additional incentives
to the FFA Speech Contest
at district and state levels, the Agricultural Leaders of Tomorrow (ALOT) program,
and Youth Exhibitors Day at the Missouri State Fair.
Scholarships
The Foundation provides annual scholarships to
six state universities and colleges
to assist students enrolled in agriculture programs. Additionally, two scholarships
are awarded annually to the students serving as the Missouri Farm Bureau Ambassadors.

Collegiate Farm Bureau
The Missouri Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture
assists six Missouri Collegiate
Farm Bureau chapters. These students represent a bright future for agriculture.
The chapters are located at: Northwest Missouri State University, Southeast Missouri
State University, Southwest Missouri State University, Truman State University,
University of Missouri - Columbia and Central Missouri State University.
